I have been pondering what I will call Toddler on my blog, now that she is 2. I thought long and hard about her sisters’ names (which I think totally fit them), but was waiting to get a solid clue about Toddler’s personality.
She is bossy, busy, and oh-so chatty. And, as the smallest member of the family, a bit of a pest at times (the girls’ computer screen has glue stick and marker on the screen–I did warn them repeatedly to close the screen…). She jumps off of things, tears things, and is starting to throw herself down on the floor in a moment of DRAMA occasionally. No one in the family can get anything productive done when she is around, unless we divide and conquer.
And, she is totally and completely delightful. Her little voice is just precious (as she points imperiously and bosses us around). I love to watch her little chubby hands work on things. She gives great, squeezy hugs.
So, she needs a name that is a bit Princess-y and a bit pesty. From here on out, Toddler will be known as Lady Bug on the blog.
As it turns out, a Toddler by any other name grows sweeter.

The Bug will be pleased…
Awww, I hope so! I didn’t want to infringe, but Princess Pest just didn’t work. :)
My recommendation: don’t give them nicknames until they’re out of the Terrible 2s and 3s. It just can’t be good when you’re in the middle of it all. :-)
Now you tell me, Amber. I may have to change even my 9 year-old’s name to Stinky Sunshine Child…it’s gettin’ all tween attitude around here…
Threaten to make her listen to Jonas Brothers songs… no; wait…
Don’t be talkin’ smack about those Jonas Bros man…I was the only mom in my Jazzercise class who knew they were the artists to a song we were killing ourselves on. I.am.such.a.suburban.mom.
Sometimes, I even freak myself out.
She is such a delightful, bossy bug!
